Representative Compliance Auditing Project
Earth-Appraisal conducted pre-entry and pre-operation environmental audits at a newly constructed operations facility in Fukuoka, Japan. The purpose of these audits was to confirm that the facility and operation were in compliance with specific conditions stipulated by the Client for conditional approval of the site lease and operations.
Pre-Entry Audit items included:
Confirm that the entire leased area is paved.
Confirm that storm water catch basins are installed for the car parking area, and that the discharge is directed to the municipal storm sewer.
Confirm that a wash water collection system for car washing area is present, with an in-line oil/water separator, with discharge to sanitary sewer.
Confirm that the all necessary construction and discharge permits are obtained from the applicable authorities.
Confirm that there are no drains installed in the workshop area and that there will be no discharges from this area.
Provide entire site buildout diagram/figure to Client with designation of underground sewer/utilities, buildings, chemical storage and drain locations.
Pre-Operation Audit items included:
Confirm that all necessary permits from applicable authorities have been obtained before commencement of operations.
Confirm that an inspection-maintenance plan has been developed and implemented, for checking/repairing pavement and regular checks and cleaning of oil/water separator.
Confirm that chemical-flammable storage is being conducted in accordance with Client procedures and environmental programs.
The work was completed in five weeks from initial contact to final report.
