Asbestos Services
EA provides a full range of asbestos inspection, management and abatement services, including PLM/PCM and TEM asbestos analytical services provided by EFA Laboratories, Inc. in Tokyo. EA provides asbestos inspection services from more than six locations across Japan. All EA inspectors are certified under Japan Ministry of Health & Labor criteria and the firm has performed more than 200 asbestos inspections & air monitoring of Japanese buildings since the change in Japan asbestos regulations in July 2005.
EA’s complete range of services allows the firm to control scheduling and pricing of the full inspection process. Japanese-certified asbestos analyses are provided by independent, third-party analytical laboratories using Japan Industrial Standards (JIS)-specified methods. Japan-certified analyses are generally needed to confirm the quantitative content of asbestos-containing materials for projects requiring regulatory submittals.
EA formed EFA Laboratories, a joint-venture company with California-based Forensic Analytical Services, Inc. to provide asbestos laboratory services (PLM and PCM) in Japan. The laboratory is located in Tokyo.
